Reflection about the Research

3 Things that I have understood well:
- I have learned that slow music is the most relaxing music. It has the most benefits compared to the other faster music for relaxation and reducing stress.
-Slow music are relaxing, because it can reduce people's blood pressure and heart rate, decrease the level of stress hormones, loses the tensions of muscles so people can work easier, can be used to help people who are suffering from insomnia and decrease the negative effects of flight or fight syndrome, and also can be used to help meditation and therapy.
-People choose different music genres for relaxation such as Ambient, Jazz, Instrumental, Post-Rock, Classical, Easy Listening, Country, and Classic Rock, but most of them are soft and has slow tempo.

2 Things that I'm not sure that I have understood them well:
-What are the equipments that will be needed to record the songs that I will make and how should I start to make the songs.
-I have understood what kind of music that I should make, but I'm not sure that I will be able to make the exactly same genre which has the slow tempo and is soft enough.

1 Thing that I don't understand:
- Many people could listen to slow music for relaxing with no problem, but who are the people that are the easiest to be approached and could allow me to let them listen to the songs that I will make?

Journal 5

On the first day of June 2012, my class and I learned about how to fill out the Appendix 9 that was just sent in the email. I learned how to fill out the Defining Problem/Background, Goal, Inquiry Question, what kinds of information I'm looking for, and identifying the information requirements. Previously I didn't understand how to fill out the paper. I also learned that I must find the primary and secondary resources to receive information. As a practice, the printed Appendix 9 paper was given in class and was filled out. I might still have difficulties on filling out the primary and secondary resources because it's a bit difficult to find the primary resources.

Visit to SPH Lippo Village

On 24th May 2012, the whole Grade 9 students from SPH Sentul went to SPH Lippo Karawaci together to visit their Grade 10's Personal Project exhibition. On the exhibition, I saw many projects with different topics, and I also learned many things from the exhibition such as ways to get the project done, and also difficulties that I may face.

During the visit, I must also ask questions to the SPH Lippo Village's 10 Graders about:
- How did your chosen AOI contribute to goal statement and design specifications?
- What was the most difficult thing about your project to research?
- What challenges did you face throughout the process?
- How did you work within the due dates to make sure your project was done on time, and that it was to a high standard?

I have asked those questions to 5 people.

- First Person
Topic: Friendship
Goal: To make video and educate people about friendship mentally, socially, and medically
AOI Used: Health and Social Education
Information Gathered: It's difficult to find people to be interviewed and research. To get the project done, make plannings, and work every week.

- Second Person
Topic and Goal: Creating a Gospel music album with acoustic songs, sell copies and donate the money to a school in Kenya
AOI Used: Human Ingenuity, although it's a bit of Community and Service
Information Gathered: Organizing things are difficult, and to get the work done, manage time by planning, and work every week

- Third Person
Topic and Goal: Making a design of a school that meets the needs of children with different conditions
AOI Used: Human Ingenuity, but also a bit connected to Health and Social education
Information Gathered: It's difficult to draw when designing, and managing time will also be difficult. To get the work done, start as early as possible so rushing won't be needed, and make sure to research before starting

- Fourth Person
Topic: Gospel Music
Goal: To change people's view about religious music
AOI Used: Human Ingenuity, because the topic is using creativity to help and affect the community
Information Gathering: Recording and mixing the songs are difficult, and researching is also difficult. To get the work done, make a To-do list to stay on track and time.

- Fifth Person
Topic: Soccer Tutorial
Goal: Making a video showing how to shoot, pass, dribble, and control the ball, and also improving other people's physical attitude
AOI Used: Health and Social Education
Information Gathered: Following the deadline of the project and using time usefully were challenging. The project depends on time.
